Wimbledon champion Andy Murray swears by it, Lady Gaga warms up with it, and professional dancers around the world train with it. Designed by Juliu Horvath, an injured professional dancer, GYROTONIC® is an incredibly effective method of rehabilitative movement and high-performance exercise—for anyone of any age or ability.
Primarily performed on precision-crafted, non-motorized machines of straps, pulley, knobs, and handles, GYROTONIC® also has a non-machine-based series of workshops and classes of movements that are performed on a chair and on the floor. Similar to, yet worlds away from yoga and Pilates, it’s a little more like tai chi with straps or swimming through the air.
Spiraling, circular movement promote undulation-like mobility of the spine. Joints move through their natural range of motion without jarring or compression, allowing for a gradual deepening of efficient movement.
The goal is to create a sense of spaciousness and ease throughout the body. Benefits include a healthier, more supple spine, increased range of motion, greater joint stability, improved agility and athletic performance, and a deep internal strength. Personalized sessions and small workshops and classes are adapted to fit the needs of all ages and abilities—from boomers awaiting hip replacements (prehab), to hockey moms who need to keep up with the kids, to highly skilled athletes.
With GYROTONIC® you redevelop command over your body. Suppleness returns. Aches and pains often subside. Everyday tasks become easier. And physical performance skyrockets.
